About me
Christy Weiss is a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal. She graduated from Old Dominion University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Early American History. She received her paralegal certification from Old Dominion University in April 2001. Prior to her employment with Davis Hartman Wright, LLP in February of 2021, she worked as Mr. Bircher’s Trustee assistant and bankruptcy paralegal at White & Allen, P.A. from August 2017 through February 2021. Prior to her time with White & Allen, P.A., she was a Chapter 11 paralegal with The Law Offices of Oliver & Cheek, PLLC from March 2009 through August 2017. She also worked as a Chapter 11 paralegal with Stubbs & Perdue, P.A., from August 2002 to March 2009. Christy attends continuing education seminars sponsored by the Eastern Bankruptcy Institute, NC Eastern Bankruptcy clerk’s office and the NC Bar Association. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees. Christy was a member of the United States Bankruptcy Court Clerk’s Legal Link committee from its inception in October 2009 to December 2012. Christy became a member of the Trustee Assistant Committee with the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees in 2025.
