Melissa M. Macejko is a partner with the law firm of Suhar & Macejko, LLC. She focuses her practice on the areas of bankruptcy, restructuring and insolvency. Melissa represents all of the different constituencies in commercial and consumer cases, including creditors, debtors, committees and trustees. Melissa also works on the sale and acquisition of financially distressed companies, business reorganizations/restructuring, creditor workouts, receiverships, secured transactions, counsel for business formations and organizations, business services, commercial law, all real estate matters and general civil litigation.
Melissa has been a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Northern District of Ohio since November 2019. She also served as a Magistrate for the Struthers Municipal Court.
She received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Akron School of Law and her B.B.A., summa cum laude, from Kent State University.
Melissa’s greatest joy is her family – her husband, Magistrate Jay Macejko, sons, Joe and Josh, and their mischievous and wholly unruly pet dog, Casey.
