Darlene G. Anderson is currently the Director of Trustee Operations for trustees, Robert C. Furr and Marc P. Bamat. She also holds the position of Firm Administrator for the law firm, Furr Cohen PA, where she has worked for the past 31 years. Prior to joining Furr Cohen PA, Ms. Anderson held the positions of Assistant Vice-President and Assistant Controller for a 22-branch savings and loan thrift, where she overseen several departments such as Data Control Operations and Secondary Loan Marketing.
As Furr Cohen’s Firm Administrator, Ms. Anderson is responsible for human resources and the firm’s day to day operations, including the administration of the Firm’s network.
As the Director of Trustee Operations, Ms. Anderson handles all aspects of the Trustees’ operations in both chapter 7, 11 and 12.
Ms. Anderson is a member of the Region 21 Trustee’s Association, the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, and a former five-year board member of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees. She currently holds positions on the Trustee Assistant Committee of NABT in the areas of Education, Mentoring and UST Liaison. Ms. Anderson often lectures on behalf of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees and has participated several times as a guest lecturer for the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of the United States Trustee’s Chapter 7 Panel Trustee Seminars, held at the National Advocacy Center on the campus of the University of South Carolina. In 2008, Ms. Anderson was interviewed by Ursula Furi-Perry, a college professor and attorney from Massachusetts, who published a book titled “Fifty Legal Careers for Non-Lawyers”.
